APPLICABILITY

Aerial images can be used for:

PLANNING - ARCHITECTURE - URBAN PLANNING - NATURAL DISASTERS - MONITORING - AGRICULTURE - FORESTRY - INFRASTRUCTURE - AEROARCHAEOLOGY - NATURE PROTECTED AREAS - PROMOTION - RESEARCH

Unlike panoramic aerial photography, vertical aerial photography requires mounting the camera on an appropriate place within the plane. Since the air is almost never completely still, electronic gimbals that compensate wind crab angle (deviations from the ideal direction of flight) are used. Geoniss electronic system enables exact planning, navigation, guidance, and automatic triggering of a camera. Photographic images are subsequently processed with photogrammetric software in the studio. By using lens distortion information, GPS coordinates, and premeasured ground control points, mosaics, digital orthophotography (DOP), digital terrain model (DTM), and 3D simulations can be made.
